About Keith Ape

Dongheon Lee (이동헌) (Born December 25, 1993), also known as Keith Ape, is a rapper born and raised in Seoul, Korea. His rap name is the combination of the name of his favourite artist, Keith Haring, and his favourite animal. He became interested in rap and Hiphop when he first listened to "Life’s a B*tch" by Nas. He began making music on his own and eventually dropped out of school at the age of 17 to pursue a music career. His music was largely inspired by Korean artists such as Epik High, Drunken Tiger and Dynamic Duo. His life was changed when Okasian, a member of The Cohort, discovered him. Keith Ape's breakout single "It G Ma" was released on January 1, 2015. His first solo album, BORN AGAIN, was released on October 12, 2018. He is currently signed under the record label, 88rising, and spends most of his time in the U.S. working with American artists. Keith Ape aspires to start conversations and break new grounds for Asian artists around the globe, especially in the U.S.
